Will Sweden do the Double?

Well, there is no Henrik Lundqvist but Sweden may still be able to pull off two world-class victories in one year. The "double" would be the combo of The Olympic gold medal and World Cup gold medal. Not bad.

Sweden has to get by Canada first, and that is something of a tall order. The Canadians have had Sweden's number, they rarely lose to them and Swedes seem to have greater respect for Canada than they do for other hockey powers, like Russia. This team has a chance though, especially if goalie Holmquist plays well, which he can. Look out for teenager Bäckström who did well in the Swedish league this year and is a real talent.
